Terms of Service
Last Updated: July 21, 2026
Welcome to Youiee. These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement that governs your access to and use of the Youiee mobile application, website, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"), provided by Art Of The Mind LTD, trading as Youiee ("Youiee," "we," "us," or "our"). The Service is made available to users around the world and may be offered in a number of languages. By accessing, downloading, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by the disclaimers set out below. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What Youiee Is — and What It Is Not
Youiee is a private AI self-discovery companion and journaling app. It is a tool for general self-reflection, thought organization, personal growth, and emotional exploration. It exists to keep you company on your own journey of self-discovery — nothing more.
Youiee is not a mental-health service, and we are not trying to be one. It is also not a health, medical, wellness, or healthcare service, product, or device, and we are not a healthcare company. The Service does not provide, and is not intended to provide, mental-health care, psychological or psychiatric services, therapy, counseling, crisis or emergency support, medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or any other professional or clinical service. Nothing the Service produces is medical, psychological, or professional advice.
The Service is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, monitor, or prevent any disease, disorder, or health condition. Any insights, prompts, reflections, or suggestions generated by the Service are for general informational and self-reflective purposes only and must never be treated as a professional opinion or a recommendation to take or refrain from any action affecting your health, safety, or wellbeing.
2. No Professional Relationship
Using the Service does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, counselor, coach, fiduciary, or any other professional or care relationship between you and Youiee. We are not a licensed medical or health care provider, and no one acting on our behalf is providing you with professional care. The Service is not a substitute for, and is not intended to replace, a relationship with a qualified psychiatrist, psychologist, therapist, physician, or other healthcare or mental-health professional.
Always seek the advice of a qualified professional with any questions you may have regarding your physical or mental health. Never disregard professional advice, and never delay seeking it, because of anything you have read, received, or experienced through the Service.
3. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, prompts, and reflections based on what you write. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of context, or inappropriate, and it may not reflect the views of Youiee. Output is generated automatically and is not reviewed by a human or by any qualified professional before you see it.
You are solely responsible for evaluating, and for any reliance you place on, anything the Service generates. Do not rely on the Service for any decision that could affect your health, safety, finances, legal position, or wellbeing.
4. Automated Resource Nudges — Not a Safety Service
Youiee is not an emergency, crisis, or suicide-prevention service and cannot be used to obtain help in an emergency. If you are in crisis, having thoughts of harming yourself or others, or experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, stop using the Service and contact your local emergency number, go to the nearest emergency room, or call a crisis or suicide-prevention hotline immediately. Wherever you are, dial your local emergency number first; if you are unsure of it, you can find a free helpline for your country at findahelpline.com or befrienders.org. (By way of example only: in the United Kingdom you can call 999 in an emergency or the Samaritans on 116 123; in the United States or Canada you can call or text 988; across much of the European Union you can call 112.) The Service is fully automated, is not monitored by humans, and is not equipped to respond to emergencies.
Automated recognition is not clinical detection. The Service uses automated processing that may, in some cases, recognize words or patterns that appear to indicate distress, and may respond by displaying third-party helpline information and encouraging you to reach out to someone you trust or to a qualified professional. This happens automatically, without human review, and is not a clinical or professional assessment of your safety or condition. It is technically limited and unreliable: it may fail entirely, may not activate when it should, may activate when there is no real concern, and may misinterpret what you write. You must never rely on it.
Even then, the Service does not provide care. Youiee is not a mental-health or crisis service. Where the Service responds to apparent distress, it does so for one reason only: to point you away from the app and toward real human and professional help. It does not provide therapy, counseling, crisis intervention, or treatment, does not assess or manage risk, will never discuss methods of self-harm, and is not a substitute for emergency services or qualified professionals.
Disclaimer of duty and reliance. This feature is provided strictly "as is." Youiee expressly assumes and accepts no duty to monitor your inputs, to detect distress or crisis, to surface any resource, to respond, or to summon or notify anyone, and no such duty or standard of care arises from the existence or operation of this feature. You acknowledge and agree that: (a) you must never rely on the Service to recognize a crisis, to protect your safety, or to contact emergency services; (b) the existence of this feature does not make the Service a safety, crisis, or healthcare service; and (c) any failure, delay, absence, or error in this feature does not create liability for Youiee. Responsibility for seeking appropriate help in any difficult or dangerous situation rests solely with you and with qualified emergency and professional resources — never with the Service.
5. Eligibility and User Responsibilities
The Service is intended for adults. To use Youiee, you agree to:
- Be at least 18 years of age and have the full legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
- Use the Service only for its intended purpose of personal, non-commercial self-discovery and journaling.
- Take full responsibility for how you use the Service and for any decisions or actions you take based on it.
- Seek qualified professional help for any medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or safety matter, rather than relying on the Service.
- Use the Service only where it is lawful to do so, and comply with all laws, rules, and regulations that apply to you in your country of residence and wherever you access the Service.
- Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or to transmit harmful, abusive, or illegal content.
6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Cancellation
Youiee offers optional paid subscriptions that unlock additional features. Free use of Youiee remains available without a subscription.
Plans and Prices
The plans available to you, their prices, and their billing periods are shown inside Youiee before you purchase, in your local currency. Prices vary by country and may change over time; we will tell you before a price change takes effect for an existing subscription, and you may cancel before it applies.
Usage Limits
Each plan makes different features and levels of use available, as described or shown in Youiee at the time you buy it. Some plans, including the free tier, have express limits — for example on which features are available, the number or length of conversations or messages, the amount of time you can spend, or the rate at which you can use certain features. Where a plan is offered as "unlimited," that refers to normal, good-faith personal use of Youiee by you as an individual; it does not permit use that is automated or scripted, resold or made available to others, shared beyond your own account, or otherwise excessive, abusive, or inconsistent with ordinary personal use. To keep the Service secure, reliable, and sustainable for everyone, we may apply reasonable technical and fair-use measures, and we may throttle, limit, suspend, or withdraw access where use threatens the security, integrity, availability, or affordability of the Service, breaches these Terms, or is fraudulent or unlawful. We may also introduce, adjust, or remove plan limits over time; where a change would materially reduce what an existing paid plan offers, we will give you notice and you may cancel as described above. We do not guarantee that the Service, or any plan, will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular capacity or speed (see "Disclaimer of Warranties").
Automatic Renewal
Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing period until cancelled. You will be charged for each renewal at the start of the new period, at the then-current price for your plan, using the payment method associated with your account on the platform you purchased through.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time. Cancellation must be made at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period to stop the next renewal. Cancelling does not shorten the period you have already paid for — you keep access until it ends. Deleting or uninstalling Youiee does not cancel a subscription. Where to cancel depends on where you bought the subscription; see "Where You Purchased" below.
Free Trials and Introductory Offers
Where we offer a free trial or introductory price, the terms of that offer are shown before you accept it. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ends, a trial converts automatically into a paid subscription at the standard price. If you purchase a subscription while a free trial is running, any unused portion of that trial is forfeited. Trials and introductory offers are generally limited to one per person or per household.
Changing Plans
If you upgrade, the change takes effect immediately and the price is adjusted for the remainder of your billing period. If you downgrade, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing period, and you keep your current plan's features until then.
Refunds
Refunds are handled by whoever processed your payment; see "Where You Purchased" below. Nothing in these Terms limits any statutory right of withdrawal, cancellation, or refund you have under the consumer law of your country (see "Governing Law, Local Consumer Rights, and Severability").
If Your Subscription Ends
When a subscription lapses or is cancelled, your account reverts to the free tier. Your conversation history and account data are retained and governed by our Privacy Policy; paid-only features become unavailable.
Non-Payment
If a renewal payment fails, the platform may retry it. We may suspend paid features until payment succeeds, and may cancel the subscription if it continues to fail.
Where You Purchased — Apple App Store
If you purchased through the Apple App Store, payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies — we cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
Where You Purchased — Google Play
If you purchased through Google Play, payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase, and renewals are charged at the start of each new period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions, or at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play refund policy; we cannot issue refunds for Google Play purchases directly.
7. Assumption of Risk
You acknowledge that self-reflection and journaling may surface difficult thoughts, memories, or emotions, and that the Service is not designed or staffed to manage them. You use the Service voluntarily and entirely at your own risk, and you assume full responsibility for any consequences of that use. If engaging with the Service ever feels overwhelming or unsafe, you agree to stop and to seek qualified support.
8. Your Privacy and Data
Your privacy is the cornerstone of our service. We are committed to the principle of being "private by design."
Your Journal Entries
Your personal entries, thoughts, and reflections ("User Content") are private. Our systems are built so that we do not view, share, or sell your personal journal entries to advertisers, data brokers, or any other third party for their own purposes. The only exceptions are narrow ones: where we are required to act by law, or where it is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims (see "Retention for Legal Protection" below and our Privacy Policy).
Data We Collect
To improve and maintain the Service, we may collect anonymized, aggregated, and non-personally identifiable data about app usage. This may include information like feature engagement, session duration, and crash reports. This data is never linked to your personal identity or the content of your entries.
Retention for Legal Protection
When you delete your account, your data is removed from the live app straight away. As a narrow exception, we retain a restricted, access-controlled copy of your conversations and account records solely so that we can establish, exercise, or defend legal claims — for example, to respond accurately if a dispute or allegation later arises about your use of the Service. This archived copy is kept separate from the app; it is never used for marketing, personalisation, or AI training, and is accessible only to authorised personnel and our legal advisers when a specific legal need arises. We keep it only for as long as necessary for that purpose and, on a rolling basis, permanently delete records once they are no longer needed — generally up to the applicable statutory limitation period, and longer only where a specific claim or legal obligation requires it. Full details, including retention periods and your rights, are set out in our Privacy Policy.
No Personal Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. For a full description of our data practices, please review our Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT IT GENERATES WILL BE ACCURATE, RELIABLE, SUITABLE, OR SAFE FOR YOU.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL ART OF THE MIND LTD, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, COVER OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY PERSONAL INJURY, EMOTIONAL DISTRESS, OR DEATH, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR HEALTH, SAFETY, OR WELLBEING, OR FROM ANY DECISION YOU MAKE OR ACTION YOU TAKE OR FAIL TO TAKE IN RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, USE OR CONTENT) HOWEVER CAUSED, UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, CONTRACT, TORT, WARRANTY, NEGLIGENCE OR OTHERWISE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED AS TO THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR ONE HUNDRED POUNDS STERLING (GBP £100). NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
11. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Art Of The Mind LTD and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or any decision or action you take in reliance on the Service.
12. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, features, branding, and underlying technology, is the exclusive property of Art Of The Mind LTD and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason, including for violation of these Terms. You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the application from your device. The disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and other provisions intended by their nature to survive termination will continue to apply.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide you with notice through the Service or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes have been implemented constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
15. International Use, Language, and Export Controls
Global Availability
We operate the Service from the United Kingdom and make it available to users in many countries. We make no representation that the Service, or any of its content, is appropriate, lawful, or available for use in any particular location. You access the Service on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with the laws of your own jurisdiction. Where local law prohibits or restricts any part of the Service, that part is offered only to the extent permitted by that law.
Language and Translations
The Service and these Terms may be made available in several languages for your convenience. The English-language version of these Terms is the official, authoritative version and governs your relationship with us. If there is any conflict, ambiguity, or inconsistency between the English version and any translation, the English version prevails to the fullest extent permitted by applicable local law.
Export Controls and Sanctions
You represent that you are not located in, and are not a national or resident of, any country or territory subject to comprehensive trade sanctions or embargoes, and that you are not on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree not to use or export the Service in violation of any applicable export-control or sanctions laws.
16. Governing Law, Local Consumer Rights, and Severability
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, and the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
This choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections. If you use the Service as a consumer, nothing in these Terms removes or limits any right or remedy that you are guaranteed under the mandatory law of your country of residence and that cannot be waived by agreement — including, where applicable, your rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, the EU consumer-protection directives and your local implementing laws, and comparable consumer and data-protection laws in your jurisdiction. Where the mandatory law of your home country gives you greater protection, that protection continues to apply, and you may also be able to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
17. Apple App Store Terms
These terms apply when you obtain Youiee through the Apple App Store. They are required by Apple and are in addition to the rest of these Terms.
These Terms Are Between You and Us, Not Apple
This agreement is concluded between you and Art Of The Mind LTD only, and not with Apple. Art Of The Mind LTD, not Apple, is solely responsible for Youiee and its content.
Scope of Licence
The licence granted to you for Youiee is a non-transferable licence to use Youiee on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that Youiee may be accessed by other accounts associated with you via Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
Maintenance and Support
Art Of The Mind LTD is solely responsible for providing any maintenance and support services for Youiee. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance or support services.
Warranty
In the event of any failure of Youiee to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price for the app to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to Youiee, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty will be Art Of The Mind LTD's sole responsibility.
Product Claims
Art Of The Mind LTD, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to Youiee or your possession and/or use of Youiee, including but not limited to product liability claims, any claim that Youiee fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection, privacy, or similar legislation.
Intellectual Property Claims
Art Of The Mind LTD, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of any third-party claim that Youiee or your possession and use of it infringes that third party's intellectual property rights.
Legal Compliance
You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Third-Party Beneficiary
Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance of these Terms, Apple will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
